About the staff

Beth Gensner, Psy.D.- Director of Counseling & Wellness Services

Dr. Beth Gensner earned her degree in clinical psychology from Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky in 2007. She earned her B.A. from Ohio Dominican University, and her M.A. in clinical psychology at Cleveland State University. Prior to joining the CCAD family in the Fall of 2007, she obtained a wealth of clinical experiences in a variety of inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, ranging from college counseling centers to working in community mental health agencies. Most recently, her predoctoral internship was at Ancora Psychiatric Hospital and Rutgers University at Camden in New Jersey. She is working towards licensure in the State of Ohio, and is currently being supervised by an Ohio Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Her primary areas of interest include interpersonal difficulties, serious and persistent mental illness, trauma, family of origin issues, and strengths-based clinical services.

Sarah Clayton, LISW

Sarah Clayton has an MSW from University of Pittsburgh and a B.A. from Oberlin College. She is licensed as an LISW (Licensed Independent Social Worker) in Ohio and as a LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in Pennsylvania. She has 14 years experience providing psychotherapy to individuals facing life struggles. Her background includes training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectal Behavioral Therapy. Her special interests include working with students who are experiencing depression, anxiety/stress, interpersonal issues, self-injury, sexual orientation issues, and sexual abuse issues. She especially enjoys working with artistic students and helping them face the challenges of their college years.
