Scholarships & Contests:

Filminute Festival

Filminute, the international one-minute film festival, is now accepting submissions for September 2007. Filminute's inaugural festival of September 2006 featured submissions from 25 countries, audiences from over 50 countries, an online component that drew an impressive 1.7 million hits and 500,000 page views, and a distinguished jury composed of luminaries from the film, arts, literature and advertising industries. 2007 promises to be even bigger. Filminute’s mission is to showcase, award and promote the world’s best one-minute films. Films from student filmmakers and film/art school programs make up an important component of Filminute submissions. Indeed, four films from students made it onto the Filminute 2006 shortlist. Submitted films must deliver a well-balanced equation of content, acting, dialogue, storytelling, photography and sound design within the categories of fiction, animation, documentary or mash-up. Filminute 2007 would be delighted to receive submissions from Columbus College of Art & Design. Please visit www.filminute.com to learn more about one-minute films, the Filminute festival, and to view the 2006 winning films.
