Learning Support ServicesLearning Resource CenterLocated in the Loann Crane Center on the 1st floor, the Learning Resource Center (LRC) offers a variety of academic support services in one convenient location. The mission of the Learning Resource Center is to assist students in becoming effective and self-determined learners. In addition to housing computers with specialized learning software, the LRC hosts workshops on topics such as: study habits, research skills, and essay writing. Spring Semester Learning Center Workshop Series (PDF) Foundation Studies Homework GroupFaculty-led group sessions that offer the opportunity for feedback and assistance on assignments for Foundation Studies courses such as Color Concept, 2D Design, 3D Design, Figure Drawing, and Painting Fundamentals. Peer TutorsGroup and individual peer tutoring is administered through the Learning Resource Center. Students can request a tutor by completing an online request form located on the right side of this webpage under ‘Resources’. Writing TutorOne-to-one assistance is available to help students improve the quality of their writing. The writing tutor is equipped to assist with issues ranging from development of a research paper to sentence structure and grammar issues. To schedule an appointment with the writing tutor, visit the Learning Resource Center or the One Stop Student Services office.
